About Me

I am a forth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at University of Toronto, Canada. I am advised by Prof. Baochun Li and a member of the iQua Research Group. Prior to this, I spent four wonderful years at Hongyi Honor College, Wuhan University, China, where I received my B.Eng. degree with honors. During my undergraduate research, I worked with Prof. Yanjiao Chen. My research interests center on privacy-preserving model training and deployment, distributed machine learning with emphasis on federated learning and split learning, reinforcement learning, and their applications to large language models and generative AI systems.

As a woman researcher, I believe that true professional growth does not come from relying on gender-based advantages, but from moving beyond labels and expectations. In today's workplace, I've come to value being recognized first and foremost for the strength of my ideas, the care I put into my work, and the integrity I bring to what I do. I've always felt that the best way to push boundaries is to focus on doing excellent work, building real connections, and making a meaningful impact. That mindset has shaped how I approach challenges, how I grow as a researcher, and how I show up for the people I work with. I try to stay open-minded, grounded, and committed to contributing in ways that truly matter—to both my field and the people around me.
