Research Overview
I am building the TARN Lab, a research group advancing Trustworthy AI in Autonomous, Robotic, and Networked systems. We work on making self-improving AI agents efficient and reliable; understanding what foundation models memorize, leak, and can explain; keeping shared GPU serving fast and private; and helping robot teams learn, plan, and perceive together while staying secure.
Join Us
Our lab is new and growing fast (technically, at an infinite rate, since we started from zero), and we’re looking for motivated people to grow with us.
MASc and PhD students
UBCO’s School of Engineering has three intakes per year. Right now I’m recruiting for Fall 2027 with a limited number of seats, so I’m looking for a good mutual fit in research interests and working style.
Undergraduate students
Volunteers are welcome! What you work on is flexible. You could team up with a grad student, run your own project, or start small and grow from there. We’ll chat and figure out what works for your interests and schedule. And if you’d like to get paid for it, look into URA awards or work-study positions. I’m happy to help with your application.
